My mission is to offer farmers, non-profits, and small business owners the freedom to hand off bookkeeping tasks and focus their efforts on activities that drive the business forward.
Meet Nikki & the chicos family
Freedom Virtual Assisting was born from my lifelong desire to be a “helper” and the necessity of finding work-life balance after having a child with special needs.
I worked as a medical social worker for 10 years, but after having a child with special needs I found it difficult to give my all to patients while also meeting the needs of my family. I returned to school for Human Resources, which led me to a job with a local grain marketing company. With this company I wore many hats including bookkeeper. I found the bookkeeping side of the business to be unexpectedly enjoyable and in 2023 I took a leap of faith and started my own bookkeeping business: Freedom Virtual Assisting.
Our family lives on a century farm in Southern Minnesota producing row crops, raising beef cattle, chickens, and a couple of adorable little boys. Check out this video to learn more about the Chicos family.
